I am a Michigan native, born and raised in West Michigan. In the early 90’s I was introduced to Solsun (Bell’s Oberon) and was transformed into a Craft Beer lover. Fifth Third Ball park would sell 20oz cups for $3 and we would post game at Sanchez with 20oz flutes, ice cold and good.
It was at this time that I was a part of opening the B.O.B. who brought the first working brewery in years to the downtown scene. Over the next 20 years I have been serving craft beers to a lot of people (like McDonalds, over a million served) and always find joy in watching their expressions when they find something new and unexpected. I have watched my good friends at Founders and New Holland grow and expand. I have witnessed countless others pop up, transforming Grand rapids to Beer City USA! I am finally in the midst of the Craft Beer scene working at Gravel Bottom Craft Brewery & Supply. The bar has been set. We aim to raise it, and I am thoroughly committed to bringing a quality in service and product to an area I call home.
